After
joining the Nazis to further his archaeological agenda, Rene Belloq was given
this German Reisepass to ease his travels in pre-war Europe. This passport
was carefully replicated from actual Nazi passports, entirely type set by
hand using vintage-style fonts.
Eight visa stamps add a well-seasoned look this this passport. Included are
Europe, Palestine and Egypt, where the Ark is finally discovered. Also chronicled
are Belloq's theft of the Golden Idol in Peru and its sale in Morocco. Many
of the visas are signed by hand, while others have dates stamped on them for
an authentic appearance.
