Based
on the Paramount Pictures version of Sherlock Holmes, set in the 1940s, this
passport covers the famous detective's travels through eight different countries.
This
passport is authentically reproduced from vintage British passports from World
War II. The cover has two large window cut out as well as genuine gold foil
details. The information within is both printed and hand-written. The photograph
of Holmes is of Basil Rathbone, the face of whom is most associated with the
character of Sherlock Holmes. The signature is compiled from Rathbone's own
handwriting.
Several
different visas have been replicated to follow Sherlock's travels through:
Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon
Sherlock Holmes in Washington
The Scarlet Claw
Pursuit to Algeries
Terror By Night
