"...I love how as Indy' s age affects his writing, as he grows older his writing style and word usage improves, now that's detail. I love the inserts they really add the last and finishing touches...without them it just would be a book and not seem to be a real personal item. I love the German communication that was intercepted in Raiders. I have seen others and they only included the German language not the English definition which to me really makes the piece. The cover itself is great and must have been time consuming. I like how you could watch one of the Young Indiana movies available and be able to find at least one or two pages about the events. The dates are a perfect touch. I like that there are pages in the diary that lead up to the movies like the staff of Ra headpiece or the painting from the library in last Crusade years before he will be able to use this information. I love how he refers to Remy or Ned in the diary as if he just saw them or what advice that they would give him in the situation that he is in. I don't believe that there is anything I would change to make this a better piece."
-Brian Jennings
Based on the diary seen in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, this
journal covers over FORTY years of Indiana
Jones' life. The blank book was given to Young Indy in 1908 by
his father, Henry. Since then, he has kept track of every major adventure
of his life.
There are 196 pages! (only 26 of them blank--enough to add one last
entry if another film is ever made). 90 pages have detailed drawings on them
(19 of which are coloured with high-quality pencils). Some of the pages are
based on the actual prop seen in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. The book
measures approximately 6 1/2" x 5" and is an 1 1/4" thick!
The printed pages of the diary were hand-cut, stitched, bound together,
heat aged, and then covered in a high quality
deerskin leather. The cover of the diary was hand-inked
to match the cover of the original prop and lightly aged. Fixed to the spine
of the diary is a red ribbon bookmark, just like
the original.
The countless entries of this amazing prop replica are based on the Films,
T.V. Series, Adult and Young-Adult Novels, Comic Books and Computer Games.
The drawings in this journal are based on art from the series, including concept
art, posters, book covers, and original sources. Several pages of this replica
were even based on the actual diaries of real explorers and archaeologists.
Months of research have gone into the making of this definitive Indiana Jones
collectible. Many inserts are included with this replica including four replica
photos. See below for pictures and a complete listing.
